The latest edition of Tang Soo Do Book of Hyungs Volume II includes step-by-step instructions and associated drawings for learning and practicing the Tang Soo Do Black Belt Hyungs: Nai Hanji Cho Dan, Nai Hanji E Dan, Nai Hanji Sum Dan, Bassai Cho, Bassai Dai, Jiin, Ship Sum (Sip Soo) and Jion classical Hyungs of Tang Soo Do. Also included is a complete history of Tang Soo Do and the relationship between Korean Hyungs and their symbols (usually an animal) is discussed; the importance to Tang Soo Do's early Kwans (schools) and the Kwan leaders. A table listing the early Kwans and details of the Kwans founder and the several styles taught at each Kwan. Almost 340 drawings are included to understand each step and technique of each Hyung. Each drawing is numbered and matches with a numbered written instruction provided. Simple line drawings are included matching the Hyungs movements and directions of motion for each step of the Hyungs as a high level perspective of the area a practitioner moves through and executes the Hyungs. These diagrams are meant to be memory aids that allows the practitioner to refresh their memories and see the Hyungs in several perspectives to better understand what the creator had intended. The book is to be used as a memory aid to fix the order of the techniques often forgotten and supplement formal instructions of the Hyungs from a qualified Tang Soo Do Black Belt Instructor. If serious difficulty occurs in using this reference, consider it an indication the reader is not yet experienced enough in Tang Soo Do execution using the many movements learned in the other training activities to complete the Hyungs.
